We believe travel should bring you closer.
Closer to people. Closer to the world. Closer to yourself.
WHY WE EXIST
Meza exists to make the world feel more human.
Ask someone about the best moment of their trip.
It's rarely a view. It's usually a person they met, something they learned, a story they heard, or a meal they shared.
That’s what we build trips around.
We believe travel should leave you a little more open than it found you. A little less certain of your own assumptions. A little closer to people whose lives look nothing like yours.
HOW WE TRAVEL
What makes a Meza trip
01
Rooted in human connection
Every itinerary is built around shared human moments. Shaping clay beside a potter who learned the craft from his father. Harvesting herbs with a farmer who's worked the same land for decades. Cooking a meal in a kitchen that's fed the same family for generations. This is our version of luxury, genuine access to someone else's world.
02
We don’t rush the good part
The best travel moments can’t be scheduled. If a conversation runs long, a lesson takes an extra hour, a meal lingers past when it should have ended, we let it. We design trips to allow for these moments to unfold naturally.
03
Destinations where real life happens
We go where daily life still happens on its own terms, places that haven't been smoothed over for mass tourism. Every destination is chosen for the doors it opens, to traditions still practiced, and communities still intact. Getting access to any of it takes years of relationships built on the ground, long before a trip is ever planned.
04
Small by design
We travel with a tight bunch of curious travelers, usually 8-12 people. Small enough that you feel like a guest in someone’s home, and close enough that a few of these strangers become friends by the end.
05
We build every trip ourselves
We scout, test, and live every trip ourselves before we ever bring travelers along. We fly out and build the kind of relationships that take years, not a phone call to a local operator. When you travel with Meza, you're following a path we walked first, not a package assembled by someone who's never met the people on it.
What We Won’t Compromise On
We Don't Stage Culture
What you experience is offered because it's real, not performed for an audience. We enter people's lives and traditions by invitation, not by expectation. We never ask anyone to perform a version of themselves for us.
Your Comfort, Your Choice
Nothing on a Meza trip is mandatory. You're invited into people's homes and traditions, but you always choose how far into that you want to go. Curious and a little outside your comfort zone is the sweet spot we aim for.
Safety, Always
You're never on your own out there. Every trip travels with a trained Meza leader, and we work with local partners who know the area and know exactly who to call if something comes up. If plans need to change, we're ready for it.
Fair, Always
The people who cook for us, teach us, and welcome us into their homes are paid fairly, every time. Your trip directly supports the people who make it possible, not a distant tour operator..
Behind Meza
Everything on this page is something I believe deeply, and I built Meza to live it out. If you want to know how I got here, I wrote it down.
